Artwork and Poetry

Here are examples of drawings, prints, paintings and poetry created by students at the Children’s Art Centre. Included are excerpts from “Our Book,” a compilation of children’s poetry and prints created during a poetry workshop in the 1980s.

Drawing and Painting: As the primary offering of the Children’s Art Centre, the majority of images in the collection show children hard at work with either paintbrush or pencil in hand.

 

 

 

Other Programs and Classes: Though it was known primarily for its instruction in traditional arts, the Children’s Art Centre introduced students to a wide range of artistic pursuits, a handful of which are shown below.
